He managed just 12 points on 6-of-19 shooting and missed all five of his three-point attempts.
Dallas also shot a dismal 7-of-27 from beyond the arc (26%) and recorded only 9 assists as a team — the fewest in a Finals game since 1969.
Boston's Defense Makes the Difference
What truly separated the Celtics was their defense. They closed out hard on shooters, contested nearly every shot, and forced the Mavericks into isolation-heavy possessions. Boston's ability to switch across positions and their physicality in the paint left Dallas with few answers.
Al Horford provided stability in the starting lineup in place of the injured Kristaps Porziņģis, while Derrick White continued his impressive postseason with impactful plays on both ends.
